Here they are!

Nat's first day of first grade.

Ava is a natural with the light saber. (The neighbor boys' toys.)

Ava loves these glasses.

Am I really moving?

Yes, I understand that this is in fact my house (as of Tuesday), but I am in total denial. You would think that having Clay building it for the last 18 months would have given me sufficient time to let it sink in, but it absolutely has not. I have even moved all of the family's closet clothes over and will move the rest tomorrow and Saturday. Still, it is not real. I just cannot wrap my brain around it. This is the front minus our very pretty front door which has not been hung yet. (The one you see is the temp door for during construction.) Oh, our front "yard" is actually the small patch in front of the kitchen window on the left... not the vacant lot directly in front of us. :) The back yard is bigger, but not too big for a push mower. I can't wait to get one of those.

This is the foyer just inside the front door. The windows directly ahead are the living room windows.

This is the living room. I took the photo from behind my kitchen island. The dining room is directly in front of the island. How about that floor? That would be Mr. Clay's doing 100%. He laid the unfinished Brazilian walnut and then proceeded to sand, sand, sand, sand, sand... He really did an unbelievable job. The mantle area is not yet complete. We haven't put the tile around the fireplace, made the doors that cover the TV area, or made the drawer that will go below the TV. All in time. I do plan on giving Clay at least a week off.

Here is the dining room. My island cabinetry is not yet glazed, hence the bright white.

MY KITCHEN!!! The cabinetry is not completely finished yet. The hood will not look like that. Our cabinet man put those doors up just to cover the hole for the appraisal photos. We also do not yet have the glass for the glass front doors to the right in the photo.

Here I am missing my pantry door and corner cabinet door.

I understand I will be sleeping here in a night or two. I don't know... We have the same items left to finish with this fireplace and mantle as in the living room.

Yee haw! This is Clay's master shower masterpiece! Again, he did an incredible job. Oops, are there two shower heads in there? That's strange. (Yes, Tom, you can test it out when you come for Dan's wedding.)

This is the upstairs hall. That is my linen closet!!!! What on earth will I do with one of those. I can't wait. The carpet is cut for the upstairs, but not yet laid. That will all be done tomorrow. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

This will be Nat and Lue's room. It is so big. We can fit heaps of kids in here.
This is Ava's room.

Ava's room has access to the area which we finished above the garage. We thought that would make access to our garage storage easier than if we accessed from the garage below. Well, with the short door and ceiling, the girls quickly claimed it as their turf. I think they may have me convinced. You know, whatever keeps them happy, keeps me happy. I think it will be worth it.

Well, what do you think? I'm telling you, it is just crazy. I am so excited to move in and decide that it really is ours.
